FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an impulse response (IR)?

An impulse response is a digital capture of a real guitar cabinet's tone. When loaded into an IR loader, it replaces the cabinet simulation in your signal chain — giving you a realistic, mic'd cab sound without a physical amp or mic setup.

What files are included?

Each pack includes 12 impulse response files in .wav format (48kHz). You'll receive a download link immediately after purchase.

What gear do I need to use these IRs?

You'll need an amp sim or modeler with an IR loader. Our IRs are compatible with popular platforms including ToneX, NAM, Helix, HX Stomp, Fractal, Kemper, and any standard .wav IR loader.

Do I need a specific amp sim?

No — these are cabinet IRs, not amp sims. You'll use your own amp sim or preamp and load the IR in place of the cabinet block. Final tone will vary depending on your guitar, pickups, and signal chain.

How do I download my files after purchase?

You'll receive an email with a download link immediately after your order is confirmed. You can also access your files anytime from your order confirmation page. If you have any issues, contact us at savageaudiolabs@gmail.com

Can I get a refund?

Because these are instant digital downloads, all sales are final. If you're having trouble with your files or they aren't working as expected, reach out and we'll help you get sorted.

Are these IRs affiliated with or endorsed by any artists or brands?

No. All products are independently created by Savage Audio Labs. Any reference to artists, gear, or tones is strictly for descriptive and comparison purposes.

I'm having trouble dialing in my tone — can you help?
